Timberwolves Athletics BLUE PRINT for 2018-19

Please note that this is a tentative plan. Athletic Directors from each Middle School in School District #33 are meeting to finalize our seasonal plans for 2018-19

Fall 2018

SPORT GRADE LEVEL FURTHER INFORMATION

Cross Country

6,7,8 Co-Ed

Races mid-September to end of October

Distances:

Gr.6 – 1.5-1.8 km

Gr.7 – 1.8-2 km

Gr.8 – 2.5-3 km

Gr.8’s continue on to Fraser Valleys
Boys Soccer

7/8 Boys league

6 Boys may have a Super 8 tournament

Practices start beginning of September

Games mid-September to first week of November

Volleyball

6,7,8 Boys

6,7,8 Girls

League will run mid Sept- end of Oct.

New - Gr. 6 and 7 league for boys and girls will be triple ball (coaches will ref). Teams will use a lighter ball. Games will consist of round robin format. 4 teams in one gym. 25 minute games. SD33 Guidelines for Closure Due to Weather

In the event of extreme weather conditions, parents are urged to check the School District website www.sd33.bc.ca or tune into radio stations STAR FM (98.3 FM) or The Drive (89.5 FM), to receive up-to-date information on school closures and information on the buses.
